Who would you be and what would your life look like if you really, truly loved yourself? After multiple failed relationships, jobs I could barely tolerate, friendships that were past their expiry date and a self-care level that scored less than zero on a scale of one to ten, I realised one thing for sure: loving myself was not part of my game!
Heck, I didn’t even like myself. And neither my possessions nor my certifications were able to make up for it.
So I had a look around me, and discovered that I wasn’t alone. Most women (and men for that matter) suffered from the same ‘dis-ease’: a lack of self-respect and self-love. So did the students I taught and the people I talked to.
It was there and then that I decided that it was a time for a change – and I asked myself this simple question: who would I be and what would my life look like if I really, truly loved yourself? I scoffed at my answer because who I would be and what my life would look like was far from the status quo.
To walk my talk, I jumped in at the deep end, abandoned my ‘first life’ in business & finance and embarked on a coaching, training and self-discovery journey to create a life for myself, in which I give myself permission to express myself creatively, embrace my highest values and live my own truth. Of course there are hurdles and rocks along the path. But as Terri Guillemets so eloquently said : “When you dance to your own rhythm, life taps its toes to your beat”.
Well, to stay true to my promise of expressing myself creatively, I’ve published some of my thoughts, experiences and opinions via my blog. This is all this website is about. Enjoy!
